Oven to 400F
Grease 9 inch cake pan.
Combine all purpose flour, cake flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in large bowl. Rub butter and shortening into flour mixture until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Stir in buttermilk until combined.
Using greased 1/2c measure or lag ice cream scoop to transfer 6 heaping portion of dough to prepared pan placing one biscuits in center and 5 around the rest.
Bake until puffed and golden brown, 20 min.
