Absolute Family Favorite. Great for growing kids
Put peas, tomato soup, cooked hamburger, cooked onion in bowl and mix
In separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt
Cut in shortening, add milk and mix into soft dough, kneading as necessary
Fold individual cheese slices into 4 squares each
Place dough around each square covering entire cheese square, forming ball
Pour hamburger mixture into casserole dish
Drop dough balls onto mixture
Bake, uncovered for 25-30 minutes at 425 degrees
Leftovers are delicious warmed up as well
I have never frozen this but would probably freeze well
