a flavorful side dish
In a saucepan, melt 2 Tbs of butter. Once melted, add the onions and let cook, slowly, until brown and caramelized. Once done, add a little Balsamic Vinegar. Put the broccoli in a casserole dish. Top with the caramelized onions. In a saucepan, mix 2 Tbs butter and the baking mix. Add salt and pepper to taste. Once combined, add the milk and heat on medium until it thickens. Once thick, remove from heat and add the cream cheese. Mix until smooth. Top the onion and broccoli mixture with shredded cheddar cheese. Pour the milk mixture over the top of this. In a bowl, melt the final 2 Tbs of butter. Add in the cornflakes and Herbes de Provence and toss with a spoon. Put this over the top of the broccoli mixture. Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes.
