Suggest a better descriptionPut asparagus spears in boiling water for 2-4 mins. Remove spears from boiling water and run under cold water immediately to shock them. Cut off ends of asparagus. Return the ends to the put of boiling water to make a broth. Lay asparagus spears top to end
In baking dish.
Melt butter in saucepan over med/low heat. Whisk in flour. Stir in milk then broth. Add shredded cheese and stir until melted.
Pour cheese mixture on top. Sprinkle crushed crackers on top. Bake at 350 for 20-30 mins until cheese and crackers are browned.
