Suggest a better description- add cold water to pot
- clean chicken thoroughly, remove skin from white meat and excess skin, clip wings
- place chicken in water and bring to boil (20min) skim the scum as it rises until none left
- add carrots to water
- add onions/parsnips/dill in cheese-cloth
- add salt & pepper
- cover and simmer for 1.5hrs
- remove dill
- add chicken powder
- cover and simmer 1hr
- remove chicken and veg, strain into pot or tupper wear
