Suggest a better description1) Heat oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4.
2) Line 2 baking sheets with parchment.
3) Cream the butter and sugars thoroughly till very light and fluffy.
4) Beat in the egg & vanilla essence.
5) Stir in the flour, bicarbonate of soda, chocolate chunks, & salt.
6) Divide the mixture into 10 spoonfuls across the two trays - leave enough room between them for spreading.
7) Bake for 11 minutes, or until firm at the edges and soft in the middle.
(NB. They will harden slightly on cooling.)
Leave to cool on the trays until you can move them without breaking them.
Keep for up to three days in an airtight container.
