A favourite Christmas tradition. A moist chocolate cookie with a dusting of icing sugar.
In large bowl, mixer on high, beat butter and sugar about 3 minutes. Add melted chocolate and malt. Beat to combine. Add eggs and vanilla, beat 2 mins. Reduce mixer to low. Add flour, b. powder and salt. Beat until combined. Refrigerate for 3 hours or up to 3 days.
Heat oven to 350F. Shape dough into balls, drop balls into icing sugar. Place balls 1inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12-15 mins or until edges are slightly crisp. Let cool 1 min. on cookie sheet. Transfer to wire racks. Makes about 5 dozen (not really)
