Grease/flour 2 9" pans.
Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, salt.
Add milk, water, oil, eggs, vanilla. Blend at low speed.
Beat at medium-high for 2 min.
Pour into pans, bake 25-30 min.
Cool in pans for 10 min, then turn out onto racks.
For the frosting:
10 oz cream cheese
1 stick butter
5 cups powdered sugar
2/3 cups peanut butter
Beat cream cheese & butter till fluffy. Gradually add sugar 1 cup at a time. Continue to beat at medium speed 3-4 min. Add peanut butter, beat till blended.
For the ganache:
8 oz. chocolate, coarsely chopped
3 tablespoons peanut butter
2 tablespoons corn syrup
1/2 cup half and half
In a double boiler, heat chocolate, peanut butter and corn syrup. Whisk till melted/smooth. Remove from heat, whisk in half and half.
I used about 3 cups of powdered sugar in the frosting instead of 5. Doesn't need that much sugar.
