This is a really quick and easy (and yummy!) dessert or afternoon treat to make.
Break chocolate up into pieces. Put in a small heatproof container with the butter. Set the bowl over a saucepan of gently simmering water, making sure that the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water. Stir the chocolate mixture with a wooden spoon until melted. Take it off heat. Break crackers into small pieces into a bowl, but do not turn them to powder. Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the crumbled cookies. Stir well. Put your hands right into the bowl and bring the mixture together into a big lump. Lay a piece of plastic wrap onto your work surface. Place the chocolate lump onto it. Form it into a long salami shape. Roll the plastic around it, forming a firm, neat salami shape. Twirl the ends of the plastic wrap together. Put it into the refrigerator to set for 1 hour. Serve in thick slices.
