Mix flour and sugar in a bowl. Heat butter, cocoa, and coke to boiling, pour over flour mixture. Add milk, eggs, baking soda, vanilla, and marshmallows. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees.
Icing:
Combine butter, cocoa, and coke; bring to a boil. Pour over sugar and mix, add nuts and put on cake while still hot from oven.
According to Grandma Slocum's notes, this cake is baked on a cookie sheet, rather than in a cake pan. As I haven't made this recipe before, I am not sure if this would work. If the dough seems thick enough that it would not run over the sides, try it. I will update the recipe when I make it.
