Let the butter & eggs sit out to room temperature (about 45 minutes)
Preheat oven to 375
With a hand mixer stir the cream butter, cocoa, & sugar on low speed
On low speed add one egg at a time
Add vanilla
Mix in the Crown Royal
Add in flour, baking soda, & salt slowly until combined
Place 1 Tbs sized balls 2 inches apart on cookie sheet
Bake for 11 minutes- begin icing recipe at this time
Remove from oven, let sit on cookie sheet for 2 minutes then transfer to cooling rack
For the Icing:
In a large bowl beat butter until creamy
Beat in confectioners’ sugar, vanilla, and milk
Makes about 3 cups.
