A family tradition especially on birthdays - chicken 'n' dumplings. Usually served with peas and pineapple rings.
Mix all ingredients together. Add broth as needed to make the "dough" not too wet or dry. Flour the rolling area and roll out the dough to about 1/8" thickness. Lightly flour the top of the rolled out dough Cut into rectangles about 1"x1-1/2". Have additional broth from boiling chicken parts at a raging boil - about 1 1/2 inch depth in large pot. Drop dumplings into boiling broth and cook for 20 minutes or until they are no longer doughy. Stir the dumplings constantly to keep from sticking to pan. Broth will thicken as dumpling cook. Add additional water if it starts to become too dry or cook longer to boil off excess moisture.
A rolling pizza cutter works great for cutting the dough.
