Stir into potatos mixing well Heat enough shortning or oil in a heavy skilletso that at least 1 inch deep. When hot -(375 degrees) drop batter be tablespoons into fat. Fry on both sides over medium heat until golden crisp and fluffy - drain. Serve hot with applesauce, or for dairy meals with sour cream..
