Revised Chinese Beef and Broccoli recipe
1) Slice sirloin into strimler, and mix with soy sauce, cornstarch, brown sugar, and ginger in a freezer bag.
Leave to marinade for 20 minutes.
Start cooking the rice (og soaking the Ramen Noodles)
2) Heat the oil on high. When smoking, add the meat and marinade and sear each side until golden brown.
Remove the meat and set aside.
3) Start boiling the water in a kettle & Put the broccoli into the hot frying pan and svitz until starting to brown.
Pour the boiled water into the frying pan and cover immediately.
Let it steam for 2 minutes, until the broccoli has softened.
4) Remove the lid and add the garlic paste, and sauté until the garlic becomes fragrant, about 30 seconds.
5a) Add the steak back into the pan and stir to combine.
Remove from heat and serve on a bed of rice. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
OR
5b) Add the steak and cooked & drained Ramen Noodles back into the pan and stir to combine.
Remove from heat and serve in a bowl. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
