Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cream shortening and sugar together.
Beat in eggs, molasses and sifted dry ingredients.
Roll into 1" balls. Dip in sugar.
Place on cookie sheet 2" apart.
Bake for 15 to 18 minutes.
