Suggest a better descriptionSeparate the egg yolks from the whites. Beat the egg whites until stiff. Beat together the egg yolks, buttermilk and baking soda. Combine the flour, sugar baking powder and salt. Beat the buttermilk mixture into the dry ingredients. Beat the butter into the dry ingredients. Fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites.
Yields: 16 4 inch pancakes
