Suggest a better descriptionIn a large saucepan, heat milk over medium high heat til bubbles appear around edge. Remove from heat. In a greased 8 cup baking dish preferably glass, combine milk, rice, sugar, butter, vanilla and salt. Bake in 300 F oven about 2 hours or until rice is just tender and most of milk is absorbed, stirring twice during first hour. I used long grain and it turned out fine.
