The commissary at MGM studios feeds an exciting mix of those involved in moviemaking. This excellent recipe for a ground chuck steak is one of their favorites.
Mix chuck, onion, soy sauce, parsley and egg. Mix well and form into large (8 or 12 oz) patties. Barely coat griddle or skillet with small amount of oil and add patties. Cook on one side til firm, then turn and finish cooking to desired degree of doneness.
Note: Uncooked patties freeze well if carefully wrapped.
