Cover the chiles with boiling water. Let sit until the chiles are soft and flexible, about 1 hour. Drain them and combine with 1 cup of the soaking liquid. Add the garlic, lime juice, oregano and honey and blend until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
Marinate the chickens with the adobo for at least 2 hours and up to 4 hours in the refrigerator. Remove from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking.
Grill the chickens until just cooked though. Remove from the grill, brush with teh garlic butter, and let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Serve immediately.
