Suggest a better descriptionCombine the chicken stock and chiles in a saucepan; bring to a boil over high heat, and cook until reduced by half. Strain the mixture into a bowl.
While the stock is reducing, combine the vinegar and plums in a medium saucepan and cook over medium high-heat until the mixture is thickened and the plums are very soft, 15 to 20 minutes. Puree in a food processor until smooth and strain into a clean saucepan.
Add the reduced stock to the plum mixture and cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until reduced to a sauce, 12 to 15 minutes; season with salt.
Combine 2 teaspoons salt, the pepper and brown sugar in a small bowl. Brush the chicken with the oil and season with the spice mixture on both sides.
Grill the chicken skin side down, until golden brown, 4 to 5 minutes. Turn the chicken over and continue cooking until just cooked through, 6 to 7 minutes more.
Plate the chicken; ladle the sauce over each (or under, if you want to look fancy).
