Delicious side dish for steak or anything
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a heavy sauce pan, bring milk just to a boil then stir in grits with a whisk. Reduce heat and continue to stir until it becomes mush - about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat and add butter in pieces, salt and pepper with a wooden spoon. Stir in cheese then add beaten eggs. Pour into 2 1/2 qt casserole or souffle dish that's been well buttered. Put in 350 degree oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes. (Can cut in 1/2 and bake 45 minutes in 1.5 qt dish)
