Soak the bread in water (milk), and combine onions, soaked bread, egg, beef and pork. Season and mix very well. Form 8 cutlets, roll in bread crumbs. Brown in hot drippings. Pour mushroom soup mixture over cutlets. Place in a moderate 350 degree oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
I use 1/3 pork, veal and pork if I can get the veal.
