mix milk tapioca, and sugar in heavy pan. Add beaten eggs and bring to a boil. Flavor with vanilla. Add sifted flour, soda, and salt. Than add coconut, rolled oats and nuts if desired.
Knead to mix, shape into 2 or 3 rolls Wrap well, chill overnight. Slice with a very sharp knife.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 375
Will keep quite a while refrig or freezer. Can just slice off what you want. I have been in a hurry and dropped them from a teaspoon.
