Fresh spicy mango salad to have with Indian meal
*Peel the mango(es). Cut the flesh into 1/2 " cubes.
*Put 3/4 tsp of the mustard seeds into the container of a clean coffee grinder. Grind.
*Put the yogurt in a bow. Beat lightly with a fork or a whisk until smooth and creamy. Add the ground mustard seeds, green chili, coconut, sugar and salt. Add mango and stir.
*Heat oil in a small frying pan over a medium hear. When hot, put in the remaining 1/4 tsp mustard seeds. As soon as they start to pop, put in the red chili. When it starts to darken, put in the shallot. Stir and fry until shallot gets slightly brown.
*Empty contents of frying pan into the bowl with the mango.
*Stir to mix and serve at room temperature.
If you don't like food too spicy, use a smaller red chili pepper.
