Suggest a better description1. Heat oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit.
2. Combine peanut butter, shortening, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed with electric mixer until well blended. Add egg. Beat just until blended.
3. Combine flour, salt, baking soda, and add to creamy mixture, blending at low speed. Mix just until blended. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls two inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Flatten slightly in criss cross pattern with tines of fork.
4. Bake at 375 degrees F for 7 to 8 minutes, or until set and just beginning to brown. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet before removing to cooling rack.
Makes three dozen cookies.
Hand written recipe had 1 tablespoon vanilla. This may have been an error and may be too much. Should probably just be 1 teaspoon vanilla.
