Holiday cookies
Cream butter and cream cheese until blended well. Add flour a cup at a time (more or less) until you have a workable smooth feeling dough. Try to use close to 4 cups.
Divide into four doughs, wrap in plastic wrap and chill overnight
Roll dough out. One at a time on a floured surface into a larger square about 1/8 - 1/4 of an inch thick and cut dough into small squares. (2-3 inch squares). Repeat with remaining doughs. Reuse unused doughs by blending it into new dough.
Place a 1/2 tsp of preserves onto the middle of each square and bring up 2 opposite corners of the squares and squeeze together, to crimp closed. (You might have to wet edges of couriers with water slightly to seal before squeezing together)
Place cookies onto a large cookie sheet about 1 inch apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until light golden brown.
