Rice Krispies, dates, nuts
Melt butter in large skillet. In bowl, slightly beat egg & add sugar. Put egg & sugar mixture in melted butter; stir constantly, and gradually add chopped dates. Continue to stir over medium heat (smashing date chunks) until mixture is light brown and dates have blended well in mixture (at least 5 min.)
Remove from heat and add vanilla. Stir in Rice Krispies and nuts and mix well. Cool. When mixture is cool enough to handle, make balls about 1 inch in diameter and roll in powdered sugar. Roll all cookies in powdered sugar a second time.
