I've never actually made this pie, but it's a recipe from my grandma, so it has to be good!
Preheat oven to 450?
Combine cherries, juice, almond extract, sugars, and tapioca; let stand for 15 minutes. Pour into a 9" pie crust and dot with butter. Put on top crust and flute edge. Brush the top with milk and sprinkle with sugar. Bake in a hot (450?) oven for 10 minutes, then at 350? for 30 minutes.
