Suggest a better descriptionGrease 2 round 9 inch cake pans. Make cake according to directions. When cake is done cool completely. Prepare filling.
Put water, 1/4 c sugar, beaten eggs in a small sauce pan. Mix cornstarch and 2 T sugar together in a small bowl. Slowly add to mixture in pan. Cook on medium heat until thickened. Then add lemon oil and butter. Stir until butter is melted. Remove from heat and let cool. Cover with plastic while cooking. When cake is cool, cut each round in half horizontally to make 4 pieces. Place one layer down, spread 1/2 mixture, add next layer, put whipped cream, next later lemon, last cak me later. Frost with remaining whipped cream. Garnish with white chocolate shavings.
