A complete meal my mother used to make as a child. Total comfort food.
Cook elbow noodles and set aside
In a sauce pan Cook beef and onion together until meat is no longer red.
Blend in flour, salt, pepper, garlic and basil.
Add milk and sour cream and bring to a boil stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and add 1 1/2 cups of cheese and stir until melted.
Mix with cooked macaroni and green beans
Pour into a casserole dish and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 min or until top is lightly browned
