Delicious homemade mac'n cheese
*Base Recipe:
Melt butter in saucepan. Remove from stove. Whisk in flour gradually. Add milk, slowly at first. Return to heat, stirring constantly until bubbling. Add salt, pepper and cheese. Reduce heat and let cheese melt stirring constantly. Cook elbows per box. Add to sauce (don't necessarily need all elbows). Pour into 9 x 13 baking dish. Melt 2 Tbs butter add to bread crumbs and spread over dish
Bake 350 for 20-30 min. Will be bubbling on sides of dish when done.
VEGGIE VERSION
1/4-1/2 cup scallions and 1/3 bag frozen veggies
*You can really add anything to this. Using higher quality cheese and different types will make a richer dish. Try adding bacon and other meats too.
