My Mamaw makes this every Christmas, but we don't really have a name for it. It's like a fudge but a candy in the shape of a cookie.
Mix together in saucepan:
3 cups sugar
1 stick butter
3/4 cup evaporated milk
1 tsp vinegar
Mix above ingredients together in saucepan.
Boil and stir about 5 min
Drop it in cold water from spoon and if it forms a little ball it's done or 240F
Remove from heat
Add 1 cup peanut butter
1 jar marshmallow cream
1 tsp vanilla
Beat it
Let sit to thicken
Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet lined with paper
Top with pecan
Let set in fridge
Yes, that's vinegar in the recipe. If you don't get the boil temperature right, they will never turn out.
