1 cup warm water, 1 pkg dry yeast, .5 to .75 cups sugar.
Mix the sugar & yeast , then mix the warm water.
1 melted stick of butter
1 tsp salt
Mix melted butter, eggs, & salt with the warm water, yeast;
Then mix the combined mixture--of warm water, sugar, yeast, eggsbutter, salt--into 4 cups of flour;
Its important to mix in the wet ingredients into the flour one-third at a time.
As the dough will start out sticky and become stiffer until the dough reaches a consistency, not sticky but when pushed on , it will spring back without leaving a dent in its surface. More flour may need to be added during this final stage of preparation (4.5 cups total flour )
Cover dough to rest for 15 minutes.
Knead the 15 times or 2-3 minutes if using dough hooks mixer.
Divide into 2, roll each round into a large dinner plate size half inch thick round that is cut into 8 triangle shaped; roll and pull each piece from widest to to the point. When placing each roll on greased pan tuck the point under the roll. Place each roll about 2 inches apart. Let double in size then bake for 8 to 10 minutes in a preheated oven, at 375 degrees until golden brown.
You can cut the the raising time by placing the rolled out. rolls in a warm oven.
