Norwegian sweet pancake bread balls
Source: Joan Grevstad (Nana)
Munker pan is required.
Mix batter.
May need to experiment with the temperature of burner to not be too hot or cook to slowly.
Step 1:
Fill holes with batter. Try and get batter to be just below level with the top of the pan. Allow batter to cook in this position for about one minute, it will really help to cook the ball completely through and form its shape.
Step 2:
Once the ball has browned on its first side start turning the munker over using a toothpick or skewer.
(may cook in quarter turns on each side. Takes about 30 seconds, per turn. Each turn allow a little more of the batter to "spill" out of the ball, cooking against the cast iron).
