1 lb ground beef
1 large onion, grated and drained of juices
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
Combine everything above
Add 2 taps chickpea flour (or other flour)
Combine and refrigerate 30 minutes
1 cup split peas
Wash and cook until half way done or soft
After 30 minutes
Create 1” meatballs (about 32 meatballs)
Fry on both sides in 1/4 cup oil
2 medium red onions (or yellow); diced
1/4 cup oil
1 tbsp garlic; minced
1 cinnamon stick
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 tbsp tomato paste
1/4 cup water
Fry until translucent
Add garlic until fragrant
Add other spices and combine and let sautée for a couple minutes or until tomato paste has darkened
2 dried limes
Poke holes with fork and soak (covered) in boiling water for 20 minute
Add 4 cups water
to tomato sauce mixture and bring to a boil
Add meatballs, dried limes
1 tsp curry powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp Chili flakes
Add the cooked peas
Cover and simmer for 30 minutes
