basic Naan bread
Combine yeast, sugar and warm water. Stir to dissolve and let sit a few minutes. Once frothy, whisk in oil, yogurt and egg until evenly combined. In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup flour with salt. Next, add wet ingredients to flour and stir until well combined. Continue adding flour 1/2 cup at a time, combining each time, until you can no longer stir the spoon (about 1 - 1 1/2 cups later). Turn dough ball out on lightly floured surface and kneed 3 minutes until smooth and soft but not sticky. Cover loosely and let sit about an hour until doubled in size. Gently flatten the dough into a disk and cut into 8 pieces, shaping into a ball. Working one ball at a time, roll it out until it is 1/4 inch thick or around 6 inches in diameter. Place in a heavy bottom skillet over med heat. When large bubbles have formed on top and golden brown on the bottom flip. Once done serve or keep in the oven at a low temp to keep warm.
