Either stuff ingredients into poultry or if using as a side to a vegetarian meal cook oatmeal then heat a skillet with either oil or butter adding first onions, celery, soup mix and spices then browning oatmeal. Salt and pepper to taste or if you prefer a sweeter version add a little sugar, raisins or dried cranberries and or chopped apple. Cinnamon or nutmeg could also be added to this sweeter version of the dressing. Grated carrot added to either version will add extra colour.
