Another Ohio dish!
1. Preheat oven to 350F / 180?C.
2. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the onions to the butter and saute until brown, about 8 to 10 minutes. Add the tomatoes, sugar, salt, pepper, oregano, bread crumbs, applesauce, horseradish and sauerkraut. Mix well with the onions. Pour mixture into a shallow baking dish approximately 12x6".
3. Heat the oil in a skillet. Add the pork chops and brown on both sides, about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place in the baking dish on top of the the applesauce and sauerkraut mixture. Covee dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1? hours. Serve hot.
