Sanders Family Favorite.
Grind Oreos into fine crumbs using food processor. In a deep mixing bowl, use mixer to mix the Oreos and softened cream cheese. Roll into 1 inch balls and place them in a container lined with wax paper. Place container into the freezer for at least 1 hour.
Melt almond bark with shortening. Dip each ball into almond bark mixture. Place on wax paper until coating is firm. You can use any extra almond bark mixture to drizzle a design on top of truffle for decoration purposes. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
Note: Undipped truffles can be made ahead of time and kept in freezer for up to a month.
