Suggest a better descriptionCombine flour, cornmeal, sugar and baking powder in a large bowl and mix well. Combine oil, eggs, onion, pepper and buttermilk, stirring well. Add to dry mixture and mix well. Batter will be stiff. Use 2 tablespoons of batter (or an ice cream scoop) to form each hush puppy.
