Suggest a better descriptionSift flour and salt make a well in the Middle and break in the egg. Stir gradually into it as much flour that it will take. Add milk slowly stirring all the time until you have a smooth thin batter. Bet well leave to stand for half an hour in the fridge.
Heat a heavy based pan until a drop of water flicked on it evaporates instantly. Over moderate heat melt just enough butter or oil to cover base. Pour 2 tblsp batter into pan & swirl to cover base. Cook until golden on 1 side then flip over & cook other side.
To keep warm put on plate in low oven do not cover this makes them soften.
