Head saucepan over medium heat and add oil to pan. Add sausage and saute for 3 minutes until brown. Add onion, saute 5 minutes. Add garlic, saute 30 seconds. Add oregano, pepper, and tomatoes; bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes. Add 1/4 cup basil; cook 5 minutes until sauce thickens.
Combine broth and water and bring to a boil. Add polenta, reduce heat, simmer 5 minutes or until thick stirring frequently with a whisk. Stir in half od the cheese. Place 2/3 cup polenta in each of 4 bowls. Top with sauce, basil, and cheese
Serve with sauted spinach and pine nuts
