This delicious Ham spread is used mostly as a snack at Cuban parties. It can be served over crackers or as a small finger sandwich.
Combine the Cream Cheese and Mayo until well mixed.
Add Ham, Relish and Pimientos; mix well. Season with Salt and Pepper to taste and cover.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Serve on mini potato bread or crackers.
Make sure to not use whipped cream cheese or light mayo the consistency of the paste will not be correct. If the paste is thinker than you would like you can add more mayo.
Please note: the recipe should be made with Spanish ham or ground ham but unfortunately when I was stationed overseas I was unable to find most of the ingredients I needed. This recipe was shared with me by family members to help me achieve something similar in order to enjoy when I was away from family. As I now live in Colorado I’ve found it even more difficult to find Spanish ham and or ground ham that works well for this application.
