Try this Pea and lardon soup(Christmas starter) recipe, or contribute your own.
Suggest a better description1. Put the diced onions and lardons into a large pan and soften then add the potato, water, garlic and stock. Bring to the boil, turn down the heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until the potato is very soft. Add the peas and cook for a further few minutes.
2. Blend the soup with a stick blender taste and season with salt and pepper.
3. To garnish drizzle with some cream and if you want you can fry some lardons and add to the top of the soup.
To make this Vegetarian you can omit the lardons for 8 tablespoons of fresh chopped mint and make the soup in the same way.
