My mom's classic cookie recipe. Peanut butter cookie with Hershey's Kiss planted deliciously in the center. A favorite anytime of the year and a favorite cookie of the grand kids. To 'change it up', substitute a mini Reese's Cup for the Hershey's Kiss.
Sift together dry ingredients. Cream together the sugars and butters, add next 3 ingredients and beat well. Blend in dry ingredients gradually. Roll into balls and dip in sugar. Bake @ 350(F) for 10 minutes or until slightly golden around edges. Press a Hershey’s Kiss on each cookie (causing the cookie to crack).
(If you decide to use Miniature Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, make the cookie ball larger to accommodate the larger candy. You can even use a small muffin paper to encourage the batter to surround the peanut butter cup.) These do not make as pretty a cookie as do the kisses, but they are delicious.
