Suggest a better descriptionIn medium mixer bowl cream butter, shortening, powdered sugar and egg yolks. Stir in flour. Press mixture evenly onto bottom of ungreased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Spread with combined apricot and strawberry preserves. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup peanut butter chips. In medium mixer bowl, beat egg whites until frothy; gradually add 1/4 cup sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form; fold in 1/2 cup peanut butter chips. Spread carefully over preserves. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven sprinkle with 1 cup peanut butter chips. Cool. Cut into 2x1 inch bars.
