Suggest a better descriptionHeat oven to 350. Grease 9" square pan, fit with foil and grease.
Process flour, brown sugar, 1/4 cup pecans, salt and baking powder until coarse like cornmeal. Add butter and pulse 8 1-second pulsed until like sand. Pat into pan and bake 20 minutes until light brown and springs back when touched.
Whisk together 1/2 cup brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla and salt. Whisk in egg. Pour filling on top of hot crust and sprinkle with pecans. Bake 22 - 24 minutes. Cool on wire rack 1 hour. Cut into 1 1/2 x 2 1/4 slices.
