Melt 4 TBS butter in a pan.
Chop sweet potatoes into 1/2 inch cubes. In a bowl mix sweet potatoes, butter, and a pinch of salt.
Bake until sweet potatoes soften, approximately 30 minutes.
Put potato mixture into a crock pot, add dried cranberries and pecans. Add sugar and remaining butter.
Heat and enjoy.
