Sift flour & salt together. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles cornmeal. Beat together egg, vinegar, and water. Stir liquid into flour mixture until well moistened.
Form into a ball and wrap in plastic or cover tightly.
Chill.

DIVIDE AND ROLL TO FIT PIE PAN
BAKE AT 400 DEGREES 10 TO 12 MINUTES FOR BAKED PIE CRUST
FOR DOUBLE CRUST PIE POUR FILLING INTO UNBAKED SHELL AND FIT ON TOP CRUST, SEALING EDGES AND BAKE AS DIRECTED FOR THAT KIND OF PIE
Make two nine inch single pie crusts or one double pie crust
BE SURE TO MAKE HOLES WITH A FORK IN DOUGH BEFORE BAKING FOR BAKED PIE SHELL
FOR DOUBLE CRUST PIE MAKE HOLES IN TOP CRUST ONLY BEFORE BAKING
SPRINKLING TOP CRUST WITH SUGAR HELPS TO BROWN CRUST
