This seems like a pretty basic pizza sauce recipe to me... but everyone loves it! (Including my NY Italian husband, who is very fussy about pizza). Also great for Calzone.
In pan or skillet, combine tomato sauce and the tomatoes (cut up). Add the garlic (minced) and the finely chopped onion. Add the remaining ingredients (to taste). Add a little more sugar if you like your pizza sauce to be sweet. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer at least twenty minutes, or until onion is tender and the sauce is desired consistency. Let cool somewhat before spreading on prepare pizza dough. Makes enough for two large pizzas.
